Robert has more than 40 years of experience in odour research and management. He founded Silsoe Odours in 2005. Under his expert leadership, it was consequently the first odour laboratory to receive UKAS accreditation. What’s more, Robert has been the UK representative of the EU CEN workgroup responsible for odours since 1995. Specifically, the group is responsible for creating and developing the European odour standard BSEN13725.

UK AD & BIOGAS EXPO

The UK AD & World Biogas Expo is the largest international trade show solely dedicated to anaerobic digestion and biogas. Organised by ADBA and the World Biogas Association, this year’s show focuses chiefly on insight, innovation and investment opportunities. It will be held at NEC Birmingham, on 3rd-4th July 2019.

As those of you in the field will know, the use of biofuels and anaerobic digestion is increasing across the UK. As a result, the benefits of using our rubbish to create renewable energy are gaining traction. However, there are drawbacks. Most notably that these plants are associated with unpleasant odours.
