Head of Olfactometry
Robert Sneath was appointed as Head of Olfactometry at the Silsoe Research Institute.
1995
Developing European standards
Robert Sneath began his ongoing role as UK expert of the EU CEN working group TC264 WG2 “Odours”, developing the European CEN odour measurement standard EN13725:2003 .
2005
Wrest Park
Silsoe Odours was established at Wrest Park, Bedfordshire.
2006
Odour Study Days
Launched our industry-leading training course, the Odour Study Day.
2008
New Lab Equipment
New state of the art olfactometer installed in the Silsoe Odours laboratory, allowing six Odour Panellists to assess odours simultaneously.
2013
New Accreditation
Delivered bespoke ‘Odour Training for Regulation’ course, receiving accreditation from Chartered Institute of Waste & Environmental Management.
2016
Over 1,500 samples analysed
Analysed more than 1,500 odour samples in the Silsoe Odours laboratory.
2017
New Internship Programme
Launched the Silsoe Odours summer internship programme.
2018
Odour Study Day receives endorsement
The Odour Study Day received CPD-certification, endorsement from IAQM and CIWEM accreditation.
