At Silsoe Odours, we prioritise the quality of our results above all else. So, when you choose to engage our specialist team, you can be confident in the odour testing data you receive. For this reason, all of our odour testing and sampling is UKAS accredited. Our accreditations demonstrate that our work complies with European odour standard BSEN13725. Clients frequently tell us this helps give them confidence in our work.

In addition, we take part in a proficiency test each year. We like to refer to this international inter-laboratory comparison of olfactometry as the ’round robin’. The 2021 results are now in. We can happily (though of course not surprisingly) confirm that the Silsoe Odours testing laboratory successfully passed.

WHAT DOES THE PROFICIENCY TEST MEASURE?

The ‘international inter-laboratory comparison of olfactometry’ tests laboratories for the precision and accuracy of their odour testing data. The results showcase which laboratories adhere to the requirements of European odour standard EN13725. As a result, 37 laboratories from 18 countries worldwide took part in the proficiency test this year. However, only 70.3% achieved the requirements of EN13725. Silsoe Odours are, of course, one of the successful laboratories again this year.
